| Although
the web site, LiveMusicExchange.com was only recently launched,
the seeds for it were planted in 1978 when Colene Schwandt
was completing a Master of Music Degree at University of Redlands,
Southern California. |
| Prepared
for her entrance into the world of music, Colene was faced
with the same question that all new talent is faced with,
"How will I be made known?" She set out to make
it happen for herself, and because of her love for music and
musicians, she has made it her quest to make it happen for
others. |
|
|
| Colene
produced and performed in master classes, recitals, and opera festivals
in San Bernardino, California with professionals from
New York and San Francisco |
 |
 |
|
|
| Working
with the City of Dana Point, California as Cultural
Commissioner, Colene initiated free concerts in Heritage
Park, coordinated Special events, and helped develop
a Community Cultural Plan. She started a non-profit
organization called the Lawn Chair and Picnic Society. |

 |
 |
|
|
| After
meeting Jack Evans, a marketing and technology consultant
at a 4th of July concert in 1993, Colene started helping
cities and private individuals locate talent for concerts
and events by publishing a hard copy "Directory
of Talent". This was the true beginning of LiveMusicExchange.com.
Jack’s company built and hosted the first websites,
digitaldir.com and musicsparks.com launched in 1994
and 1998. The culmination of their efforts can be seen
in the new site launched in 2001, now known as LiveMusicExchange.com |
 |

 |
|
| Because
of Colenes quest, musicians new and well known can be located
worldwide and anyone who wishes to share in their talents
can now find them easily. |
